Nicolas Ombredane est un photographe amateur franco-suisse installé à Genève. Ses liens avec la Chine se sont tissés au fil de voyages personnels et d’attaches familiales. China Impressions est son premier livre. Il rend hommage aux paysages, aux visages et aux contrastes qui l’ont marqué. L’ouvrage est structuré en quatre chapitres thématiques, chacun introduit par un texte et accompagné d’images, pour raconter ses impressions de la Chine d’aujourd’hui.
La traduction chinoise des textes a été réalisée par Dan Wang, traductrice et interprète de conférence.
Les calligraphies originales ont été créées par Jin Junmin, maître calligraphe basé à Pékin, dont les œuvres ont à plusieurs reprises été sélectionnées comme cadeaux pour des dignitaires étrangers.

Nicolas Ombredane is a French-Swiss amateur photographer based in Geneva. His connection with China has grown over the years through personal travels and family ties. China Impressions is his first book. It is a tribute to the landscapes, faces and contrasts that have left a lasting impression on him. The book is structured around four thematic chapters, each introduced by a short text and accompanied by photographs, offering a personal perspective on contemporary China.
The Chinese translations were completed by Dan Wang, translator and conference interpreter. The original calligraphies were created by Jin Junmin, a master calligrapher based in Beijing, whose works have on several occasions been selected as gifts for foreign dignitaries.
